Evergreen Indiana

1Why can't I renew my items online?
You may have reached your renewal limit, or the item may be on hold for another library customer. If you are unable to renew online, please give us a call.
2Why can't I place a hold on an item?
You may have up to 20 unfilled holds at one time.  However, some items, such as reference materials and equipment, may not be placed on hold.  New materials belonging to other Evergreen libraries often have a six-month age protection and cannot be placed on hold by nonresident cardholders. If you have any trouble placing a hold, contact us!
3How do fines work?
In almost all cases, fines are 25 cents per day per item. The receipt given at checkout is your formal due date notice. As a courtesy, we send you mailed notifications at 14 and 28 days overdue. If an email address is provided at time of registration, Evergreen will send an automated notice three days prior to the item's due date along with day-of, 7, 14, 28, and 45 days overdue. At 45 days, the item will be marked lost and you will be fined the replacement amount plus a processing fee. Returning the item may remove the lost fees and maximum overdue fines will be reinstated. At the library, we accept payments in cash and check. You are also able to pay your fine online with a debit/credit card through the My Account feature of the Evergreen Indiana Online Catalog. Please note that there is a surcharge for using that method of payment.
4How can I pay my fines?
Fines may be paid by cash or check at any Evergreen member library. You may also pay by credit or debit card by logging into your account via the online catalog. There is a service charge for paying via card online. Fines are 25 cents per item per day. Damaged and lost fees vary by the owning library. Unpaid fines/fees in excess of $10.00 will result in suspension of borrowing privileges.
